BC2 grrr

I started playing Bc2 ages ago it was fine but then i stoped playing for ages and i had some problems so i tried a reinstall and i get this error

Error readingfile C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\BattleField Bad Company 2\dist\win32\streaming_sounds-00.fbrb. Verify the file exists and that you can acces it.


Any ideas on how to get my game working again ?

maybe you need to delete the gamesettings gs and settings files. Should be in a file called bfbc2 in your documents. might not be that though. just guessing

Theirs nothing to do with bc2 on my computer

I made a search on google but don't find any solution.

Found the file streaming_sounds-00.fbrb but when i install the game apparently it isnt their :S

have you tried pasting it in?

the file is part of the disk its not on my pc

have you tried getting a torrent and installing from that and using your cd key?

ive gave up atm cus im guna re format next weekend and then try again

today i formatted my computer and put windows 7 on evrything is running alot better but i still cant get my bc2 working so it must be the disk will try from a torrent or a freinds disk..

Yeah i never realy gave bc2 a propper go to be honest but i liked sniping

I have a feeling its my dvd drive becuse it does the same with bf2142 when i tried in stalling that from a disk it failed at the end and had to install via ea manager (:
