Troubleshoot game connection

I had more and more difficulties to connect a BF BC 2 server, and now it's solved.

Yesterday i had 6 times a crash game.

I found that with XFire off i have no problem, and with the lastest version of XFire it's worse !

I've been looking for a solution, because i think about "ghost-hammer the rider" too and this is what i found over several forum :

a) In C:\Users\{username}\Documents\BFBC2\settings.ini put DxVersion=10 instead of DxVersion=auto

b) In Xfire / tools / options / games / bf bc2 / In-game renderer : D3D10

Warning : this work because i've got a nvidia graphic card. For an ATI it's something else.

I HOPE GHOST WILL BE ABLE TO PLAY WITH US TODAY

Do I put 9 instead?

If it don't work put it as before.

How you know it don't work ?

Either the game won't start or you'll be unable to join a game server.

Troubles seems to be specific with X64 plateforms : vista and seven.

yes Kev u need to put 9
i'm ussing Dx9 too
u still will have random crashes i have them even whef xfire is off
